TEACHING

Andrew is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland, where he is the Clinical Lead for the MD3 programme at Toowoomba Base Hospital, as well as at Griffith University. Previously he was an Associate Lecturer at James Cook University when he was completing his training

Andrew is active in teaching at all levels from medical students through to registrars. He has also completed a Masters in Surgical Education through the University of Melbourne.

RESEARCH AND PRESENTATIONS

Andrew’s research interests lie primarily in rural surgery and surgical education. He is published in both journal and book form and has presented around the state and country on these topics.

MILITARY

Having completed his basic military training in 2016, Andrew now serves in the Australian Army Reserve as a Major in the Royal Australian Army Medical Corps.

His current posting is to the 1st Surgical Company, 2nd Health Battalion.
